Easter Break Come Down


Feeling a bit sluggish after the easter long weekend?

Here are our top 5 ways to get back into routine and get rid of the post chocolate haze.

WATER!
For the next few days make sure you drink 2-3 litres per day to help you rehydrate your body

GET MOVING
It doesn’t matter how you do this as long as you get up and get moving. Park further away from the shopping centre, Get off the bus one stop earlier, take the stairs instead of the elevator at work. It’s the little things that count

VEGIES VEGIES VEGIES
Vegies are a super important part of any diet and if this food group has been neglected over the long weekend in your house like it was mine then its time to sneak some extra vegies on your plate for dinner. Hide them in the burger patties, chuck the slow cooker on with a vegie filled dish and you’ll notice a difference in your energy in just days!

RECONNECT
Things can get hectic with family events over any long weekend and its always important to take time out and reconnect with yourself as the festivities wind down to a close. It will help to re centre your energies and help you to be more focused on getting back into your daily routine.

TRY SOMETHING NEW
Why not spice things up and try something new to help you keep active (and perhaps shimmy off some easter chocolate jiggle like I know I gained). There are so many activities out there to try. Boxing, run clubs, pilates, yoga. Whatever you decide to do make sure you enjoy it! To help keep you more accountable its always a good idea to grab a friend and do it with them!

I know I feel super sluggish after indulging in way to many hot cross buns this easter and with winter just around the corner im definitely going to be doing all of the above to make sure I can fit into my new jeans!
